Bus from Mthatha to Cape Town: Tickets & Timetables

Excellent, I never had bad experience with intercape. I hope we will work like this till I get my own transportation.

The bus picked us up at 11am and arrived at our destination at 11:43am instead of the 7am on our tickets. I am disappointed and had to cancel work because I was not going to make it on time.

The bus was late with 1 and half hour and it got broke on the way to Ngcobo we spent more than 30 minutes stranded.

The service this time was very much horrible. The bus was supposed to leave Mthatha Ultra city at 1pm on 12/01/2026 I booked the bus for my 4kids. They had to wait for hours for the bus and when it was 14:30 the bus came and apparently that wasn’t for them it was for the 12:30 people. They were told the 1pm people must wait for their but which is still in Durban to arrive at 16:45, after they had asked because there were no updates messages nor email to tell us about the delay. Bear in mind the sun was up very hot in Mthatha. Now only at 15:00 we received the message that the bus was gonna be late. And the 11:40 but that departed from Mthatha Station, the two guys that were driving it were very rude. I had booked that one for 6 people my sisters and nephews and niece. They were not happy at all, drivers were rude when they talk to people in Queenstown they asked the people to go out to buy /do whatever they want, and then when people came back the bus was nowhere to be found. So they waited and waited now it was raining. When the bus finally came back they didn’t say where they were nor apologise for the inconvenience they just asked they to go in and took off. Now I have been travelling with APM because the buses are very much comfortable and the drivers i have felt with are nice, but these two incidents I am not happy with at al.

Driver addressed customer unprofessionally, bus was way to hot with no ventilators and when we asked to open the windows the driver denied

I liked that the bus he as more legroom, as tall as i am i was seated comfortably, Early arrival, clean and neat.

I was very angry and upset 😭 when we at Komani there was a quick heavy rain coming inside chairs were wet we couldn't sit down my small bags get wet , myself as well , what makes me very angry drivers were busy laughing about this matter and couldn't sit down chairs are wet and clothes 😭💔 drivers they careless about the situation I was in,

The bus was smelling sewage all the way from Mthatha to Cape Town. The charging portals were damaged. But the drivers were nice shame

My experience was awesome the drivers are careful people, they understand people, but the bus seats are very close .

It's clean, I arrived before the estimated time,their driver is communicating very well with passengers. Their service is top notch 👌 👏

Bus not in good condition, air-con dripping the whole day and night, 3 rows both sides affected and were soaking wet. Driver assisting took pictures of the situation Bus 859.

From umtata to cape town the airconditione was very cold we ask the driver fr it to be adjusted no avail, i came from the dr nw my feet are still sore due the coldnes frm big sky

New bus is magnificent and fast, also type c charging port is a bonus. But passengers have tendency on stretching the sit wider to an extent that the person behinds sitting uncomfortably especially if they are tall

It does not have time management, the air corn broken and the bus was too full other passangers where standing all the way to cape town

I was very disappointing I don't wish someone's daughter to go through what I went through. First thing the bus was delayed for about 3 hours and there was no communication, secondly we were overloaded from Mthatha to Queenstown.

Bad service ever the bus didnt come and we stucked at komani till 9:30 no more using this bus

Bus was late then it dies 3 times but at least after it dies at Worcester they send taxis to fetch us

Makalala did us bad, I booked a ticket from Mtata to Cape Town and I ended up in crossroad. I had to wait for 30 minutes to get into a shuttle that took an hour because the driver could not use the GPS. I think Makalala Transport can do better by not giving false information to clients.

I was very disappointed because it was my first time using this bus bus but it got stucked at Queenstown now the driver says he is going to drop us at bus station at town but the arrival says at Joe Gqabi stockroad yhoo I'm very unsatisfied

Driver left us at 3:30am at Mispel Road Bellville telling us he doesn't deliver, he didn't care about passengers safety

I enjoy the travelling speed with Badela and their clear communication inside the bus. This time I did not like the fact that Badela arrived 2hours later from the agreed time on ticket on no apologies and no clear communication on whether the bus is still coming or not. I also noticed that drivers do not sleep I heard it from their conversations, that is putting our lives in danger as they need to rest and be ready for a long distance.

Bus had no toilet and they take very long to stop, so that people can help them selves in toilets atleast 😢

I do not even have words to explain how dissatisfied I was fisrtly the ticket I booked was from cape town to umtata anyway I tryed to reachout for help, but the person that was inpostion to help was so unhelpful

i did not enjoy my ride as the Bus was dirty, smelling urine and the aircon was not working, the roof of the bus was licking. Bad service.

Their bus was in horrible condition, seats had dirty stains and the bus was just dirty. The bus itself needs mechanical attention is slow

Bus left on time which is gud but there were unnecessary stops not communicated with clients in the wilderness, sometimes we will be informed when they are done or not at all, but was too hot during the day and too cold at night only bottom but on the deck they were sweating. Service busses in order to circumvent losing your clientele, small things may lead to something serious and that's not what we want, we love using jobela services.

I was disgusted that I arrived early at the bus station but they said the flexi connect people must wait outside they will only take them if the bus is not full I was irritated cause I also paid but now it was like I asked for a lift

The trip was, I was only told on the day of our trip I'm not refunded, when I call thier office since yesterday they not picking up my calls. I last spoke we them Sunday.

Firstly, the bus I booked never showed up, I had to call and ask what was the delay, and when some bus arrived which was not the 1 I booked, it was late by an hour 30 minutes or more, it had no tiolets as I had booked a bus with1, all I all iwill never book with Flexi City connect ever again
