Canada could learn a lot from Mexico's ADO system. It is fast, efficient, and comfortable. One area for improvement is in the bus terminals. Buses arrive and depart but those waiting (internationals) have difficulty telling which bus is theirs, and when it has arrived, and ready to depart. The speaker announcement system in Playa del Carmen is almost incomprehensible and is only broadcast in the front sitting area. Buses do not change their notification boards to show that what bus they are. Glass walls along the seating area would permit travelers to wait in comfort, rather than sweat and melt into wet stinking messes before they board the buses.
