I askedcthe driver and was told that I could leave my bags on the bus during a layover in Mobile. When I got ready to board the bus to my final destination (Biloxi) the bus had been changed and my bags could not be located. I made calls for three hours to the next two destinations for the bus that my luggage was left on but to no avail. I had extreme difficulty getting direct numbers for the New Orleans and Baton Rouge stations. I finally reached both before the arrival times for bus 1563.
Staff that I talked to said that they checked the busses but could not find my luggage. It could not be located in Mobile either where I last saw it. Staff asked about a Greyhound checked ticket stub but there was no system for ckecking baggage where I boarded in Altanta (bus 1563 on 7/31, 11:35 pm). I seem to have no further recourse and that is unacceptable. I am very dissatisfied with communications with Greyhound. When I called, I was always transferred to a call center with non- American staff who had heavy accents. I had difficulty understanding them and had to repeat myself several times only to be transferred to another call center or a discontinued number. I spend 3 hours trying to track down my luggage to no avail.
Announcements in the local station were very difficult to understand and not delivered in a friendly tone.
