I had a really terrible experience today. I was traveling from Kamloops to Vancouver with Rider Express on the 4:15 pm bus, scheduled to reach Vancouver at 8:35 pm. I was waiting for my friend to board since we were traveling together with my parents. The driver came at 4:12 asking where my friend was, and then returned at 4:14 and started yelling at me about wasting his time and not valuing it. He even shut the luggage compartment and said he wouldn’t wait and was heading inside. My friend arrived at 4:16, and I understand she was late, but the driver’s attitude was extremely rude. The ironic part is that after all his drama, we boarded—yet the bus couldn’t leave because of an issue caused by the previous driver. They had to fix it, and the departure was delayed by 1 hour and 14 minutes.

We left 25 minutes behind schedule. And there was a prolonged delay in Merritt that I've never experienced on previous rides.
There was also a 3 hour highway closure, followed by a significant detour. Which is when I learned that the bus doesn't have any bottled water or anything on hand for extended emergencies.

I only had one problem and that was carrying my luggage to and from the bus (in Vancouver that was some distance). I know now that I need wheels on my luggage. I also use a walker at times which also makes the luggage issue a bit of a problem.
